Natural Skin Care: Treat Your Acne in a Gentler Fashion

by Abigail McKenzee

Acne is one of the biggest problems that adolescents face as during puberty hormone levels rise and sebum production increases. The excess sebum mixes up with dirt and dead skin cells to clog pores and lead to acne.

Luckily, there are several products you can use to help treat your acne condition. In fact you can even make your own natural acne treatment products. This is a great alternative to traditional products because natural ones are less prone to produce irritation and can be just as effective as traditional skin care products.

If you're interested in natural skin care and homemade products, here is a general overview. But if you want more detailed information you'll have to do some research. Just remember to do a patch test with any products that you think may irritate.

Homemade Natural Acne Treatments

Honey: Kill Acne Bacteria

Honey has been used as an anti-bacterial product and acne treatment for centuries. Due to its low water content and acidic pH level, it is a poor environment for the growth of bacteria.

Homemade Acne Cream Recipe

In a small mixing bowl add one half a cup of baking soda and one half cup of water. Mix the ingredients well. If the mixture is too runny add more baking soda. If the mixture is too thick, then add more water. After having completed this step, grate one half of a cucumber and add it to the mixture.

In a separate bowl, mash up two apple slices until they become a paste. Add this paste to the baking soda mixture. Mix well before adding 1 tablespoon of honey.

Aloe Vera Gel: Acne Solutions from Your Garden

The watery gel taken from this succulent has proven effective against acne. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties and is also very rich in enzymes. Aloe vera can also be ingested so that it cleanses your skin from the inside out.

Tea Tree Oil: A Relatively New Acne Treatment

Tea tree oil is a natural substance used primarily for its antiseptic and bacterial properties. This is why tea tree oil is great for treating acne and helping eliminate common acne bacteria.

Tea tree oil doesn't produce may side effects, however, it can irritate sensitive skin, so be careful.

These properties are what make honey masks and effective way of eliminating acne bacteria and helping reduce your chances of having acne breakouts. Honey is also very gentle on your skin and will not lead to irritation.

There are a lot of options when treating your acne problem, however, no matter which you choose the real issue is that you find an acne treatment cream that can treat your problem effectively and help you prevent possible acne scarring.

If you don't have a proper acne cream an end result could possibly be acne scars. BIOSKINFORTE is an adult skin care cream that can also help deal with cystic and severe forms of acne. BIOSKINCARE, on the other hand, can help you deal with all kinds of acne scars. Both of these natural skin products contain snail serum which means that these products can be safely used on all skin types.
