by Amy S

You probably already know all the basics when it comes to skateboarding, such as standing on the board without falling off. Now comes the fun part, learning some sweet skateboard trick tips. Before you get going on the advanced tricks, you need to build a foundation by learning some easier tricks first. Here is the perfect skateboard trick tip for a beginner.

So you want to learn how to skateboard like the pros? Use this tip and you will be well on your way.

The Indy Grab:

The Indy Grab is one of the most popular and basic skateboard tricks. This is the trick that you see skaters doing when they catch air by bending down and grabbing on to their skateboard. It looks really cool, and it's one of the first skateboard trick tips you should learn.

However, before you can fully take on the Indy Grab, you first need to Ollie. Once you know how to do this, you can incorporate the Indy Grab. When you get on the board, place your front foot on the middle and your back foot at the back tail.

You will slam down on the board and with your back foot and jump at the same time. You will keep your body centered on the board so that it stays even. This is the basic steps of the Ollie. Once you have this down, you will reach down while you're in the air and hold onto the board between your feet.

Right before you land, let go. Make sure to bend your knees the whole time so you don't injure them when you land. This skateboard trick can be done on a ramp right as you come off the edge or it can be done flat on the ground. One of the best skateboard trick tips is to try and get as high as you can. This will help you have enough time to pull off the Indy Grab.
