Alternatives to Surgical Scar Removal

Scars can also be treated by using scar creams or scar care gels. This type of treatment can help treat minor scars or new scars better than old scars. They can also be used after one has undergone surgery in order to help promote scar less healing.

Natural scar gels and creams should contain ingredients that help break down scars and promote the growth of new skin cells. One incredible ingredient is snail serum. This gentle natural ingredient is effective and known to help dissolve scar tissue. It also helps trigger the production of healthy skin cells while also increasing the production of elastin and collagen.

Try and stay away from products that contain collagen because they won't help repair scar tissue. As a matter of fact, collagen molecules are too large and can't penetrate our skin pores which means that the product cannot reach the site of the scar to repair it.

Laser treatment is also a viable alternative, but it's not always the right one. So, first consult with a dermatologist to see if you are eligible for laser treatment.
